It can be easy to assume that once you’ve survived cancer, life simply returns to normal, but it depends on what you do after cancer.
‘Cancer is Hard’
When you fight one of the toughest battles of your life, getting back to a healthy lifestyle can feel near impossible to you. Your energy is low and it can be difficult adjusting to your new way of life. But healthy living after cancer is attainable and it’s almost never too early to start. And one of the best ways to stay fit is to take steps to take control of your health.
Many cancer survivors face several problems after the treatment like-
Your doctor can guide you, but it depends on you that when you want to start. Below a list of several ways to get your mind and body back on track after cancer-
Smoking is injurious to health! You’ve heard it before. Right?
But, if you are a smoker, the single best thing you can do as a survivor is stopping.
Tip– Talk to health care providers which can double your chances of success
Regular exercise not only boosts health but also helps counter cancer-related fatigue. Moreover, it may lower the risk of recurrence and help cut the risk of other chronic diseases.
Tip– Choose several activities you can enjoy like walking, gardening and dancing.
With the stress, treatment side effects and changing in the lifestyle can lead to cancer survivors hard to maintain their body weight. Still, maintaining a healthy weight is an important goal that all survivors should shoot for.
Tip– Limit time in front of the TV and computer
As a survivor, it can be tough to know how & what you should eat. We recommended that you should focus on fruits, vegetables, and whole grains and keep red meat to a minimum.
Tip– Make fresh fruits & vegetables a part of every meal
As a survivor, there is nothing more important than going to your regular post-treatment check-ups with your oncology team.

To meet the need of after cancer life, a free pilot program, Healthy Living after Cancer led by the University of Queensland was created. It was designed-
